2026 WA Lead State Titles at Oasis Climbing This November
Oasis Climbing is thrilled to host the 2026 WA Lead State Titles on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November 2026, bringing Western Australia’s lead climbing community together for a full weekend of competition, support, and hard-earned sends.
The event will include categories from junior climbers through to experienced adults, with U13 competing on top rope, and lead categories for U15, U17, U19, U21, Open A, Open B, and Masters.
The last time WA hosted the Lead State Titles was in 2024 at City Summit, a venue with a long history of holding the event. Oasis Climbing is proud to continue that tradition and is excited to welcome athletes, coaches, families, volunteers, and spectators in 2026.
The WA Lead State Titles return in 2026
Lead State Titles are a key event on the WA climbing calendar. They give climbers a chance to test themselves on rope competition routes, climb under pressure, and share the floor with others who have been training toward the same goal.
For many athletes, State Titles are the peak local lead event of the year. Their reason for climbing, bringing indoor and outdoor climbing together as a competition, something difficult to hold outdoors.
For others, it is a first step into competitive climbing, at state, national and international level. That mix is part of what makes the weekend special. Younger climbers see what is possible, newer competitors learn how a major event feels, and experienced climbers get the chance to push against a strong field.
Oasis Climbing is preparing to host the event with that full community in mind. A good competition is not just about the hardest moves. It is about clear organisation, good route setting, safe belaying, a supportive crowd, and a venue that gives climbers room to focus.
The WA State Titles 2026 will continue the story of lead climbing in WA, while giving the next group of athletes their own moment on the wall.
